About the farm
Varanashi Farms is a centuries-old organic farm nestled between the west coast of India and the foothills of the World Heritage Western Ghats, where the Tulunad region of Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka) meets the lush Malabar region of Kerala.
A living example of community-led sustainability, it blends ancestral farming wisdom with regenerative systems. The farm cultivates coconut, cacao, pepper, turmeric, banana, nutmeg, taro, ginger, paddy, and vegetables using intercropping and agroforestry.
Designed as a zero-waste, closed-loop ecosystem, it’s sustained by composting, biocontrol agents, natural ponds, and deep care for the land.

Accommodation
All stays at the farm — from the dorms to the floating cottage to the treehouse— are built with natural materials, blending comfort with a deep connection to nature.
Each room is one-of-a-kind, so no two stays are the same.

Healthy Organic Meals
The farm serves fresh, vegetarian, organic meals made with love by the akkas (didis) at the farm. The menu changes with the seasons, using produce grown right on the farm itself.
Most of your dietary restrictions can be accommodated, along with the option of it being vegan, gluten-free.

why I'm so excited
Hoop Flo was born during the pandemic — and in that time I met over 500 of you online, on Zoom screens. Even though I’ve since met so many of you at workshops in your cities, there was always this mischievous dream of plucking you out of your homes and bringing you into the wild with me… a place where we could actually gather and spin. And now we’re doing it. At Varanashi Farms in Karnataka — a farm I’ve returned to so many times, run by people I deeply admire.
I’ve always felt there’s a gap between the spaces we create for adults and those we create for kids. Grownups have their retreats, kids have their camps — but rarely do we share the same space to move, learn, and just be together. Forest Circle is my response to that gap. A gathering where generations overlap, where curiosity isn’t boxed in by age, and where learning flows both ways.
Imagine coming to a place with blue ponds you’ll want to float in forever, treehouses, open-air shalas, three days of non-stop hoop dancing and flowing, and a homely warmth that might make you reconsider leaving.
I hope you feel how much heart has gone into this. My enthu spirit is packing SO many hoops — so come! Let’s circle in the forest.
With love,
Eshna Kutty

FAQs
Who is Forest Circle for?
Whether you're 7 or 70, this gathering is for anyone excited to hoop, move, swim, and who enjoys a good walk!
Hoopers, Non-hoopers, Parents, Kids, Introverts, Extroverts, Solo travellers— there’s room for all kinds of people here.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in starts from 8:00 a.m. itself and our opening circle begins at 11:00 a.m. The best-case scenario? Arrive a day early, no matter the transportation you're taking for a full experience — we can help you book a stay at the farm. If you’re coming from Bangalore, we recommend taking the overnight bus to reach in time.
The Closing Circle is at 6:00 p.m. on the final day. You can take the 8:30 p.m. bus back to Bangalore or plan your flights accordingly.
Are hula hoops included?
Yes! We'll have hoops for you. That said, if you have a favorite hoop of your own, bring it along — nothing beats the feel of your own.
What’s the average age group?
Most of our participants are between 25 and 40, but we’ve got kids and adults from 5 to 70 signing up. It’s a mix — and that’s what makes it fun.
I’m a total beginner. Will I fit in?
Absolutely. We welcome complete beginners, seasoned hoopers, and everyone in between. Our instructors are skilled at working across levels, and there’s something for everyone!
How do I book my spot?
Just scroll up to the two booking options :If you’re bringing your own tent, select the “Pitch Your Own Tent” option. If you want a stay with accommodation, book that option.
Coming as a group or with a child? Drop us a line at team@hoopflo.com and we’ll help sort the best setup for you.
Are kids allowed?
Yes — this is a family-friendly space. Kids aged 5–12 have a discounted fee. Under 5? They’re welcome, but they’ll need your full attention since it's a big wild space.
Kids 12 and above can join independently and will be looped into the group like tiny little explorers.
What does a typical day look like?
You can view the entire Itinerary right above, under the title "Facilitators and Schedule".
Early mornings will start with yoga and swimming, afternoons with hoop sessions and optional organic farm tours, and evenings are for fire circles, night walks, and the show night. We also have an arts and crafts shala where you can skip everything and just chill too!
Anything I should be prepared for?
Yes — just a few things to keep in mind:
1. The farm is big, so expect some walking between your stay, the cafe, and workshop spaces (approx 7-8mins each). If mobility is a concern, this might be tricky. But if you let us know in advance, we can make some arrangements for you.
2. We’re staying in an agroforest, so the occasional spider, lizard, or bug friend may show up — nothing harmful, just nature doing its thing. And if that sounds overwhelming, you may change your mind after the night walks. :)
3. This is a gathering, not an intimate retreat — we’re expecting 50–60 humans, so if you're after a smaller setup, keep an eye out for Eshna’s future retreats.
Other than that, there's no reason you shouldn't be here!
What’s the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations made before August 27 are eligible for an 80% refund.
After that, a 30% cancellation fee will be applied.
For emergencies or last-minute issues, shoot us an email at team@hoopflo.com — if we have a waitlist, we’ll try to help sort it out.
